Gaming idents.

1993 EA sports ident

This is a very old and very basic ident from the 1990's.
Its target audience is people that like sport games and also people familiar with Electronic Arts.
It uses a voice over that is easily recognisable. Making it stand out from its competitors.
It uses a lot of different colours to promote the quality of their games.
The ident also uses pictures from all the different sports it covers, to attract a very wide range of people.
The moving images are used to help hold the attention of the viewer, making the ident more appealing than static images.

Xbox 360 ident

This is a very basic, modern ident to promote the Xbox 360 consoles.
The audience in mind for this ident is people that would recognise the Xbox 360 logo, it is also to attract new customers away from its main competition.
The sound is also to help people associate with the Xbox 360.
The green in the ident is used because it is the main colour for the Xbox logo, it was also used for the older Xbox logo, so this helps people recognise the brand.

Microsoft game studios ident

This ident is designed for brand recognition for Microsoft and to help make people aware of their game studios.
The sound used in this ident is very fast paced to match the animation, which helps to promote excitement.
The colours used are very basic. Probably to stop distracting people from the animation.
I think it is quite sophisticated, based on the colours and being well animated, also because it has a shine to it making it look very clean.
The main target audience is gamers, which is why it is an exciting ident.
